Will a heavier oil for knocking rod prolong life of engine

Hello, heavier weight oil can help very temporarily, but can cause issues in other areas, such as the valve train and ensuring lubrication of all components. It's unfortunately no answer, but once you have a rod knock, it's not like the solution gets any easier anyway...
