What do you do after you put a new starter in?

Diagnostic testing from the start needs to be performed. Check the battery to ensure it is fully charged and able to handle a load. Check all cables and connection to ensure they are secure and free of corrosion. Ensure all fuses are intact and not blown. Ensure the vehicle shift lever is in the appropriate position. Basic testing to ensure all is as it should be.
