What is your question?
I took it to my Infiniti dealer and, after charging me a $165 diagnostic fee, they said they were not getting a signal from the A/V unit to the consult. They would have to send in the A/V unit and MAY be able to fix it in 4-6 weeks at a min cost of $1500. I replaced the A/V unit myself and it did not fix the problem. What else could it be?
What makes this problem better or worse?
no change
How long has your 2008 INFINITI QX56 had this problem?

Hello, I would go back to the dealer and share with them that their diagnostic test did not yield a successful result, as you followed their guidance. The only thing that concerns me is that there is no way to know the quality and capability of the replacement A/V unit. Or, it could be that you replaced something other than the item they recommended. Any way you look at it, I'd consult them. Perhaps consider it a "recheck" of their testing. It's worth approaching and hopefully getting some assistance. There's simply nothing you can do without proper test equipment.
