Hello, it's certainly possible engine performance components have been contaminated with water getting into rubber insulated components. This includes transmission wiring connectors and other components. I'd definitely recommend trying to get everything dried out wherever possible and rechecking. If the water is wide-spread, such as with pressure washing being performed, then it's probably a big job to get everything dried out.
