My car will not start.. There are no gears coming on the dash when i move the shifter.. Can someone help?

Possible transmission range sensor failure (commonly called “neutral safety switch”) that part prevents starter engagement if transmission is in gear and if a malfunction has occurred the starter motor will not engage. Now - can try cranking engine with shifter in the neutral position. *Professional scan test* will indicate range sensor failure as viewed on live data screen. Ultimately - *hands-on* testing is going to be required.
