front brakes are working, rear brakes are not

Is there a reason the car is being lifted off the ground? Check the brake fluid level. If you're able, you can also try bleeding the brakes to see if you're even getting fluid to the rear brakes. While you're back there, you can also check the condition of the calipers/brackets/sliders for any damage or corrosion.
