How critical is error code P1815 if I do not drive my car as manual?

What is your question?

My service engine light came on and I had someone read the code. It was P1815 and he reset the code but it came back on a few days later. It seems related to manual transmission but I only drive mine as an automatic. Is this something I need to have checked out?
