What is your question?
I've been working on replacing the cam sensor on my 06 sedan and I'm having trouble screwing the bolt back in. I can fit it in the sensor and the engine hole but it won't screw in at all. There's no way to see if the thread is stripped or something down there because of the lack of space. I've already dropped one bolt in the engine and I'm worried I'll drop the replacement if I force it too much. Can anybody tell me what I should do or suggest a way I can secure the sensor tight enough without the bolt at least temporarily? Or something I can use to catch the bolt if I drop it again?
How long has your 2006 INFINITI G35 had this problem?

Hi, I feel your pain - it can be difficult for the novice -- or even professional - mechanic to access difficult to reach places with limited clearance. Often times, techs will use special tools to secure a bolt in the tool when trying to fit it. And if it's not the "original" fastener, one wonders if the threads are even correct. Definitely do not force it. This is the time that spending a little extra on some professional assistance might be the answer, so as to have an experienced eye on what you're trying to do. I would also gently wonder why the sensor was being replaced in the first place. These aren't common for failure; it's more that a code will set due to a performance or stalling issue related to a different problem. So that's a consideration as well.
