What is your question?
Approximately 2 months ago my car wouldn’t start - not even a click when I turned the key. All accessories were powered and the battery’s fine. Then it started up in neutral, then it wouldn’t start at all. The problem went away after the mechanic started it a half a dozen times without fail, so he didn’t know what to test. Worked fine until a few days ago it wouldn’t start again. But this time it would click when in park/neutral, no click in drive/reverse, so I figure the stater is going bad. Had it towed home, started just fine again and has for the last few days. Is it just a faulty starter? Or a bad relay? Fuses (front fuse box in front of the battery) look good as far as I can tell. I’m not having any other electric issues except for a faulty airbag sensor, but that’s been there for a couple years.
How long has your 2004 INFINITI G35 had this problem?
Several months on and off

Hello, I'm guessing here, but I'd look at the transmission position sensor / range switch. This tells the ignition system what gear the shift lever is in. If it's not seeing a consistent park or neutral -- the starter motor will not engage. I would utilize a diagnostic tool and monitor the position of that switch as the problem occurs. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
