Automatic doesn't want to shift out of first gear after starting up. After it warms up for 30-45 minutes, shifts fine, it's like it's hung up in 1st as the RPM's are going up.

What makes this problem better or worse?

It's worse after first cranking up, 30-45 minutes later it's much better.
