What is your question?
To summarize I have been working with a mechanic and dealer to fix my car for the last 3.5 months (and here I am 7k later - which is more than the car is worth). Here is the list of repairs (some expected) and my current diagnosis: Replaced belt, spark plugs, battery, key fob (they thought it was a locking/electrical issue), power steering hose/clamps, air intake hose, head/value gasket, fuel pump sensor, air-fuel sensor, rear brakes. Still, the car wouldn't start and they said now the diagnosis code was ECM so I replaced the ECM!!!!!! Now they are saying it is the IMMU that needs to be replaced (hummmmmm). Makes me think they programmed the fob incorrectly (or the fob replacement was never needed....). Should I even trust them? Is this the way the diagnostics tool works (stops immediately and reads a code once it finds an issue vs. all issues)? air intake hose replaced told me a need a drive and a/c belt air filter oil filter/change

First, your vehicle is 15 years old. "Lemon's" don't make it out of the factory warranty period without major troubles. "ECM" and "PCM" are considered the same thing; unless there's some confusion and you're not having one technician do all the repairs that are recommended... Diagnostic tools are only useful if the person using it can interpret the information and use a workshop manual and wiring diagram to figure out what's going on. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops I'd get another opinion before doing anything else.
Thank you - I am taking it to the mechanic school to give the students a good "challenge"
Hello, Now the dealer is saying it is U1000 - at this point is it ready to retire the vehicle? Getting it towed back home, for now, to save up money.
