Hello, when the vehicle "struggles to start", is it that there is no power to crank the engine - so maybe you have lights and can unlock the doors, but you cannot crank the engine? All of this sounds like an electrical connection concern related to wiring under the hood. I would first start by checking the battery terminals and cable connections. Are they clean and secure? Has someone recently replaced the battery? If the positive and negative battery cables are not securely in place with nothing in the way to cause resistance, the you will definitely get the intermittent electrical concerns to occur. Other wiring and cabling under the hood could be suspect for damage or loose connections as well. Another sad reality is that rodents sometimes like to live under the hood and chew on wiring! Damage there can cause all kinds of concerns, so look for any signs of rodent activity - that is, signs of nuts or debris on surfaces, insulation collected, things of that nature. Ultimately, getting some help from a local shop seems like what you'll need. Seek guidance from a local shop near you. They can perform hands on testing and let you know what's going on, and how to best address your concerns. Certainly, duplicating the concern will be helpful, so that it can then be resolved and proven to be fixed! https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
