What is your question?
The lock/unlock button on the key fob unlocks the boot at odd moments ie: if it happens to accidentally touch some thing in my handbag. I would like to disable this but still be able to open the boot via the button on the dash or using the handle just above the number plate. Is this possible?
How long has your 2016 Hyundai Tucson had this problem?
On and off since I bought the car

There is not official procedure for disabling just the trunk lock button on the fob. The only way to do this would be physically disassembling the key fob and removing the switch mechanism in the circuit board. I don't recommend this at all but it's technically possible if you know a lot about circuitry. If it keeps happening in your purse, maybe try putting the fob in a small padded pouch so the buttons don't contact anything. Or a seperate compartment in the purse. Alex
