What is your question?
I am considering purchasing a 2014 Hyundai Tucson Limited. The carafax report indicates a minor rear end accident to this vehicle in 2014 and a short block replaced in 2015. Could the accident cause the short block to be replaced or could a recall been issued?

Hello, I am not aware of a "recall" on an engine short block for this vehicle. No one really can say what damage occurred in the accident, and if it's minor and rear end located, it's hard to correlate the two issues. Mechanical things happen, and if the engine was indeed replaced -- check with your local Hyundai dealer for perhaps more detailed information that may be on file with Hyundai -- there could be a legitimate mechanical reason / factory defect that occurred and has been resolved. Knowledge is definitely power, so learn all you can, but it may not be a "deal breaker" to have had an engine repair previously. Good luck!
