What is your question?
Recently, my transmission has been acting up. It'll make a buzzing noise and the idle is completely off, jumping up and down. This happens now anytime I have my car in gear. It'll sometimes die too, I gave it a good transmission flush and everything...Nothing has helped. I have it parked now so I can prevent my trans falling completely apart, for which it does still run. I work at an auto parts store that carries nothing for the year of my car, unfortunetly. I'm also very low on cash due to the holiday seasons and making minimum wage, going to college. What do I need to do? What is wrong with my transmission? How much am I looking at to spend on this horrific nightmare? Are there places that work with my financial situation like monthly payments? Please help! I know enough about cars, but NOTHING about transmissions!

Lauren, It sounds like you may have an internal transmission problem. Did you buy the vehicle new? If so, you may still have the 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty to fall back on. Other than that a good diagnosis is in order. There is no real "rebuilding" to be done that is reasonable for this transmission, so a replacement is likely in order...if upon inspection it is agreed there is a transmission issue. I know this is frustrating -- just take it one step at a time. Good luck...
Thank you, yeah, unfortunetly I bought it used with the money up front. I priced a used transmission at my job and it was $1,700 dollars, and we don't get discounts on used parts.. It is a bummer! I appreciate your help and time. I've never taken my car to a shop before, I've always been able to fix it with a help of a friend or something..Do you know if there are shops out there that work with people financially?
Not often. You could try this directory link to try a few people near you. http://repairpal.com/directory?address=73701&car_brand_names=Hyundai Again, good luck.
