What would make the fuel pump not work and no fire from coil back?

I replaced transmission in my car and now it will not start. The Fuel pump does not kick in and the coil pack has power but it seems as though no signal to fire. I thought it may be a security or shut off switch of some sort but can not find anything. My care did fall 2 time while on jack stands.
