My AC works intermittently. Sometimes it works normally, other time regardless of which speed I turn the knob to, nothing happens, and other times when the knob is on 3 or 4 the air is very weak and when on 1 or 2 there is no air blowing.

This problem occurs sporadically. This morning and at mid-day, everything was working normally. In the late afternoon the fan sounded very noisy and the air got progressively weaker until it just stopped regardless of what speed the knob was on.
