I changed the valve cover gasket in my 2015 Hyundai Sonata SE yesterday everything went well until I turned it over.
When I changed the valve cover everything seemed to be fine but there was a lot of white smoke coming from the exhaust. I was worried that I may have messed up the head gasket so I checked the oil and noticed that there was too much oil in the car. So, I changed the oil and made sure it was at the correct oil level. The white smoke from the exhaust stopped.
But when I drove the car around the block It would not shift and had a hard time getting to 40mph. Then the check engine light came on. I took the car home and it was running-on. I was able to get it turned off and left to get my code reader. When I got back the check engine light was off. So I drove it around until the light came back one and got these codes. P2297, P0410, and P016B.
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, unless blow-by of oil in your exhaust has caused contamination of components, I can't think of what replacing a valve cover gasket could do to cause this concern -- unless wiring or vacuum hoses were also disturbed and displaced without proper repair.
Retrace all steps - other than that, professional assistance is needed.
