Low battery warning light came on and car was beeping. Light said not to drive. Took car to Hyndai dealership and they said it only needed a computer update...the Sonota hybrid is 8 years old....do batteries need to be replaced?

Is this a car that has a push button start with a key fob -- not a conventional key? If so, the battery in the key fob probably needs replaced. I'm not sure about any other "low battery warning light". If the Hyundai dealership said only a software update was needed, it's likely truth. Ask questions, but their guidance should be sufficient.
