What is your question?
My 2012 sonata has 103k miles on it. I was at a red light and when I took my foot off the brake the engine shut off. The battery seemed in good condition (all lights, radio, and Bluetooth worked fine) and jumping the car did nothing. After pushing the car to the side I realized that I had very low oil. I was due for an oil change this week but I've never seen the oil so low. Neither the oil light nor check engine light came on. We heard the starter working when trying to crank the car. There wasn't any shaking or loud noise that is common with engine seizing. However, my car was recalled by Hyundai for possible engine failure and they extended the warranty on the engine to 120k miles. The car is at the dealership and I'm waiting on results from the inspections. Do you think Hyundai will honor the warranty since my car actually was recalled or will they say it's my fault? Could it be an alternator problem and not the engine?
How long has your 2012 Hyundai Sonata had this problem?
I was having problems with engine stalling a few months back, but adding oil seemed to rectify.

At this point, we have no idea what the issue is. If it's an engine failure and falls within the recall they may cover it but they will want proof you maintained the engine. At this point don't mention the low oil. This could also be something totally unrelated to the engine like a bad fuel pump or crank sensor. Report back with their finding if you have further questions and we can help from there. Alex
