What is your question?
Repair shop provided me with a repair estimate and quoted me $225 ($67 for labor and $155 for an aftermarket actuator). It seems a bit overboard when only the little connector inside the fuel filler area broke. And even the actuator cost seems super inflated - I saw an OEM actuator (Part #81590-3S000) at Hyundai Wholesale site for less than $50 and even Amazon has an aftermarket brand for $20!! Am I about to get really overcharged or is the entire actuator needed and the repair cost pretty typical in your opinion? Do they even sell the "little knob" that's at the end of the actuator? Thanks!!
What makes this problem better or worse?
Nothing helps, definitely won't close without a repair.
How long has your 2011 Hyundai Sonata had this problem?
About one week.

Your Hyundai dealership can print you out a parts catalog page that identifies each available component in a diagram. This is the best thing you can do -- have a look to see if the part you are seeking is separately available. I will say it's quite likely that the little piece is only part of the assembly itself. And, yes, I would strongly recommend an original Hyundai part for this -- over aftermarket. Good luck.
