What is your question?
I got an engine light code that said I needed to replace the fuel tank pressure sensor, upon inspection the nipple had broken off and then fell into the hole when trying to remove it. If the system needs replaced I need to know if it is safe to drive my car while I work on getting it repaired.

Hello, first of all - the "code" doesn't tell you that you need a part. It indicates a problem with the related circuit and system. Testing would have been needed to figure out what needs to be done to repair the concern. Now that you have a broken part, you'll have to make repairs. With debris in the fuel tank, it's not a great thing. You should now have the tank dropped and cleaned to ensure no restriction occurs.
