2009 Hyundai Sonata, 70k miles, trouble pumping gas lately, keeps shutting off. Could it be the gas cap/seal? Do I have to wait days to see if it resolves itself?

You could be having an issue with the filler neck vent tube or your EVAP system. You will need a hands on inspection to determine which part is causing the issue. In some cases its a collapsed vent tube, bad vent valve, or a bad charcoal canister. https://repairpal.com/questions Alex
