2007 Hyundai Sonata V6 175k Car will not crank car will not start. Just put in a new starter. All I get when turning the key to “START” position, is One loud single Click...Lights, Radio, power windows/seats, AC and horn all works still. Had an oil leak about a week ago. Checked Engine Oil level is Good. Also, when I was able to start the car...there was a clanking noise when car started for about 5 secs then went away. Please help?
How long has your 2007 Hyundai Sonata had this problem?

First, try turning your key to on, then shift to Neutral and attempt to start. If it starts, replace the neutral safety switch on the transmission. If you have a manual trans, check to make sure the clutch switch behind the pedal is engaging. I know the 06 models required the brake be depressed to start. If the switch here goes bad, signal is weak, etc. you will have a no start condition. Have you had your battery checked recently? Many electrical components in a vehicle may still work, and the battery gauge may even read fine, whilst still being too low on amperage to crank the starter. Also, check all fuses associated with your ignition. The location and identification of each fuse will be listed in your owner's manual. Check the starter relay etc. If you have a check engine light, read codes. If anybof them involve a camshaft or crankshaft position sensor, replace the appropriate sensor. Some vehicles will refuse to turn over especially if a camshaft sensor isnt communicating with your ECU. All in all, this is a common problem with many Sonata, Azera, and Optima models. Good luck and let me know how it turns out.
