What is your question?
Hi! My car wouldn’t start earlier, but after waiting a few minutes I was able to get it to start. I thought it was the battery so I went out and bought a brand new one. Car is still being off and on starting. I’m assuming it’s the alternator, but just very confused. My alternator has been replaced 3 times within the last 2 months. What could be going on?

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Sonata. The first step is ensuring the new battery is adequately charged and installed. If the battery terminals are corroded or loose, it can lead to intermittent starting issues. Next, consider the wiring and connections related to the starter. Check for damaged wires or poor connections preventing the starter from operating correctly. Sometimes, faulty parts can result from an underlying issue, like a short circuit or problems with the vehicle's electrical system. If everything seems in order, a professional diagnostic can provide clarity and help identify any other potential issues. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
