Why is my car switching from automatic to manual sport mode automatically?

Hello, If your vehicle has paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel, it may be the paddle shifter or the clockspring. The clockspring allows the electronic components on the steering wheel to receive power while letting the steering wheel turn. Otherwise, I would expect the main shifter assembly is having issues, and may be contaminated with a spilled drink or debris.
