What is your question?
This morning I went to turn on my car, and it made a clicking sound and would not start. Figured it would be the battery and it was very rusted. I cleaned it off and still the same problem. I got a new battery, and still same issue. It makes a clicking sound when I turn the key and when I turn off my car, the clicking sound continues. The only way it stops is when I disconnect the battery. Also the lights on the dashboard flicker, and I checked the voltage of the new battery. The battery is not the problem. Any ideas?

Hello, it really seems as if there is a connectivity issue related to the battery. Significant battery corrosion, or a lack of good contact with the battery to the cabling will cause excessive resistance to be present. With this excessive resistance, the starter motor will not have enough power to turn and crank the engine -- instead, clicking. A thorough hands on inspection is needed with the cabling and battery of the starting system. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
