Try looking for a shop that specializes in A?C work. There are new treatments and tools to help with this type of problem, they may have a better solution for you. Also, replace the cabin filter every year and make sure the A/C evaporator drain is not plugged.

On the old Sonata(2.5 V6 2000 model), there is an air filter located behind and below the glove compartment. Maybe changing this could solve your problem.
