Power window won't open, it fell down inside door after installing new battery

After replacing the battery the driver's power window would not open, it made some clicking noises then the window fell down inside the door. The window regulator was replaced less than 10,000 miles ago. Before the battery was replaced the power windows worked fine, there were no issues whatsoever.
