Cant get them to lock I dont have ABS on my car and an emergency braking situation should brake hard enough to lock the brakes. Pedal to the floor the brakes do not lock.I started by bleeding all the brakes then I changed out the brake pump, Its still the same the brakes are almost due but there is still pad left. and the roters were replaced last year. I cant understand why im missing braking power. the booster is working and not leaking im not loosing fluid either is this normal for this car ??

well with power brakes non ABS A hard, to the floor application should lock up the brakes. It does not. My problem is not enough braking power to lock the brakes. The car will stop but im wondering if the non ability to lock the brakes is a problem with the car or if it is normal. I have never had a car with non ABS that the brakes would not lock up in an emergency brake application. I have only tested the cars brakes with the car empty other then me driving. Now if I have a full passenger load will the brakes that do not lock be enough to stop the car, and what is the norm. and how do I know if there is a problem, Other then the obvious. I am no slouch when it comes to cars. I added new dot 3 and bled the brakes this didnt change a thing. so i changed out the master cylinder and it still is no differant. I have no brake line leaks im not loosing fluid and the master cylinder does not leak at the plunger or at the base of the resevoir Im going to try changing the brake pads but they are not worn out yet they may have oil on them I dont know but its the only other thing I can think of. I was just wondering if there is any other info someone can give me about this systeam
