Everyday we start out the a/c works but after turning the car off we no longer have fan on the a/c. We get cold air but we have to hit a bump really hard to get the fan to come on. We would like to know where this fan is located in car. Thanks

What would be the reason for this though? My 2001 Sonata has a similar issue. When I start the car in the mornings, turn on the fan, it blows. However, if I stop the car and re-start it shortly after, it does not blow (when stopping to get gas, etc). Is this a Blower Motor Resistor problem, a Blower Motor problem, or is it an A/C switch problem? Another clue, is that there is electrical noise through my radio at the lowest speed and less at the highest fan speed.
The Blower Motor is in the Heater Housing at the bottom right hand area of the dash.
In my 2000 Elantra the blower is located just under the glovebox. It is a small black plastic box with some wires coming out of it. Mine does the same thing, I tap the box with a small wrench and it comes on. Sometimes not at full speed, if that happens I keep tapping the box til it comes on. Hyundai wanted $400.00 and said the hoses need to be replaced. Thanks, I'll keep tapping box.
In my 2000 Elantra the box is located just under the glovebox. It is a small round black plastic box with wires coming out of it. I tap on mine until the blower is blowing at full speed. Sometimes have to tap it twice. Kneel down and look under your glovebox.
Sounds like the blower motor to me but there is a chance the resistor is bad also
I went to junkyard, bought one for 20 bucks, my mechanic charged me 15 bucks to install. Works perfect.
