My car broke down and was towed to a Hyundai dealer who says I have 2 Catalytic Converters that need to be replaced in my 2000 Hyundai Sonota (it has 135,000 miles) for around $2500.00. The repair guy at the dealer told me alot of cars have up to 4 Catalytic Converters. Am I being taken for a Money ride?????

California models have two, one just under the exhaust manifold one further back. I have seen them go bad on Hyundia Sonatas. Hyundai as a car manufacturer put a lot of free technical information and workshop manuals on line for Hyundai owners. Check out www.hmaservice.com lots of great information.
That is sooooooooooo fucking HOT!!!! FOUR Catalytic converters ?!?! NOTHING'S getting through all of those!!! We can't even pollute the air anymore! Fucking 0.0000000% CO I can't even kill myself with the car anymore! It sucks! That's the way I wanted to kill myself!!! Now, when I look under my engine, one freaking millimeter underneath there is a catalytic converter and it gets IMMEDIATELY hot and the gorgeous smell of exhaust dissipates within like 10 fucking seconds!!!!!!! I like to run back and stick my dick up the pipe but the fumes are so clean and there's NO carbon because it's sooooooo clean... all it is is steam - ZERO pollution. Pisses me off. Sonata's are SOOOOOOOO cute and sexy - I would love to tie myself up with all 5 seatbelts so I can't get out in a garage and rev the SHIT out of the car but that will warm up the catalytic converters way too fast and no fumes will come out - IT SUCKS! I don't want to shoot myself - that's painful. A sexy way to die would be by sitting in the driver's seat and BASHING the pedal to the ground but if the fumes have to go through FOUR catalytic converters, there will be zero CO emissions.......... DAMNIT... It sucks. The early 80's cars were the best - just converted enough to smell nice and not too over bearing!!! Loved to be tied up in a Hyundai and gassed to death!!!!!!!! hahaha
