I was driving down the hwy trying to pass a truck when suddenly something felt off. I look at the rpms and they are going up but the car isn't going any faster. Felt like it went to neutral. I pulled over and it feels like it's in neutral. It'll go into park but when I shift to reverse or drive it feels like it's in neutral. Any ideas?
How long has your 1999 Hyundai Sonata had this problem?

Hello, it sounds like there's some kind of concern with the automatic transmission - something that occurred in an instant and caused a mechanical failure. Check the fluid level first and see if it may be low -- in some cases, low fluid can cause a lack of engagement.
