What is your question?
I have been driving my car when I lose the ability to steer and there is no movement. The car is still on, but the battery, oil, and check engine lights all come on. I have turned the car off and let it set for a few seconds (as I am generally in traffic) and then turn it back on again and everything is fine. The weather has not been too crazy so I don't think it is overheating, but I want to fix this problem so I don't need to worry about the car dying anymore. Can anyone help? I haven't noticed any weird noises or liquids coming from the car. The gas tank has had gas in it, with a variety of ranges of fullness. I need to get an oil change, but I am not too far past 3,000 miles. I can't think of anything else that might be of use to you helpful people :)
What makes this problem better or worse?
no idea

The ONLY way for the power steering to stop working and the indicator lights to turn on is IF the engine is no longer running - the engine has stalled.. This is going to require *hands-on* testing by qualified personnel to discover what the actual culprit is.. Also, unfortunately intermittent failures are difficult to diagnose - UNLESS the failure is present at the time of *hands-on* diagnostic testing.. There are simply too many possibilities for beneficial online repair advice - - to offer a best guess would be moot. Good luck!
