put to much gas in tank and mess up purge valve
2 Replies
just did this on a 2008 Hyundai Santa fe. I know this question is old but this will help others. the valve is on the back of the intake manifold near the throttle body, drivers side of the engine bay. take off the whole plastic air intake right to the throttle body and you'll be able to see the electric connector under the throttle body there as well as the lower hose of the evap purge solenoid valve. much easier this way. I climbed on the engine to really see what I'm doing, it helps to have a flashlight. get the valve that comes with the one vaccum hose, as the lower comes off easy but the upper sticks really easy and is hard to get off.
canister purge valve.look under the vehicle, fuel tank area, next to the vapor canister.google this part number, you can see what it looks like,(PV713).when pumping fuel into tank, when the pump clicks off the FIRST TIME,it's full enough, don't try and fill it to the rim.
Great description! You helped me locate the purge valve for my 2007 Santa Fe.
