I have read and talked to Hyundai dealers and mech. with no help, all I have received is BS. Please HELP with a correct answer. The things I know is it is not on a rail near the gas tank, or engine compartment,it is not visible anywhere on the car and I don't see one or anything that looks like a filter in the tank. PLEASE HELP!!!

No offence but I think your wrong. When you say "I believe it is part of the fuel pump module," you don't know. I am looking for the correct answer, I have had the pump out of the car. Nothing looks like any filter I have seen before. But thanks anyway.
Sometimes I hate to answer questions from an idiot that thinks they know more then a Master Tech with 40 years of working on these things. The fuel filter is non-serviceable as an in line filter unless you add one. The strainer is the only type of fuel filtration on many of the early 2000,s to 2014. Don't assume anything when someone try's to help directly or indirectly. There's your correct answer, Look It Up, Damn!
I am sorry you took offence to my reply. Gee!!!! I didn't know you were a "great master mechanic," but I should have, because that is the same BS answer the rest of the "master mechanics" gave, but thanks for "Trying" to help anyway. If you could please bear with this idiot for a second of your valuable time. My question was a filter location. If it has one fine where is it? If it doesn't have one, fine that is the answer. As far as referring to me or anyone as an "idiot" that is an assumption on your part. And I am sure you have heard the old "assume" statement, it makes an "ass of U, not me," I THINK that how it goes. Oh, did I thank you for your help? THANKS a lot!!
You started this and I gave a polite answer. Then I gave you an ass-nine answer. You got your answer and sorry I hurt your feelings. The first Master didn't answer what you wanted to hear so you kept going till now. Got your answer, have a great day.
As you can reread my first request, it was a specific question and I ask for a specific answer. If you didn't know the specific answer or not willing to give the correct reply you should not have answered at all. But then someone would have gotten your 2 points. My reply to your first answer was not to offend but to enlighten you to the problems, extra work and expense of vague answers and part truths provided by others in your profession. Again I would like to apologize if I offended you that was not my intent. But it was totally uncalled for to refer to me or anyone else as an idiot. And again thanks for your help. Please don't help me again.
Trust me I won't and when others see this they won't either. We don't get points or any compensation for anything, just smart remarks from many DIY'ers looking for free advice. Vague answers in the beginning are because many manufacturers do things similar but not the same for different years and makes. I have to look a lot of them up when I don't work on them every day to remember which one has or does what, and a lot of people are very thankful, then you had to come along with and attitude. I make a living working on these and help you for free. You deserve what you get. Last Word on the matter, Don't ask, research it for yourself, there is no after market inline fuel filter for this car at the parts store, you just ruined an answer for someone else.
The fuel filter IS part of the fuel pump. The pump and filter are combined into one working part and is located inside the tank. The tank is located under the back seat on the driver's side. My husband and son recently had all this apart. 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5
