Yes it could be a door contact switch. Check the door jam area on the body of the car. Where the door closes and latches in. If you see a small push button then one of those could be bad. If you don't see that then it's built into the latch assembly in the door. You can try some WD-40 in the latch to see if that frees up the sensor. Alex
