my mother's van ran out of gas at home, after putting a gallon of gas in the vehicle I started it and the RPM's went through the roof so thinking something was stuck I turned the van off restarted it same thing turned it off waited a minute started it again and RPMs were fine so I started to back out the wheels wouldn't turn, steering wheel wouldnt urn so I turn the van off& open the hood. saw the serpentine belt completely off no damage and like new but then saw a pulley was sitting there it was a smooth pulley with a cap and it looks like the bolt may have broke off a little bit at the tip because it isn't very smooth. which pulley is it? The idler or tension?
