What is your question?
Ask a Mechanic Now Chris (aka- Moose), Technician 16 years experience Pearl Steve Wilson, Auto Mechanic's Assistant Welcome! How can we help you with your car? You I have a 2023 Hyundai Elantra with an AC problem. The compressor seems to come on and stay on but the temperature will never get below 45° at the most. I measured temperature coming out of the two center vents with a professional temperature logger and probes going into two center vents. AC randomly stops blowing cold randomly and begins to blow warm even though it seems the comperssor always stays on. AC is set to mannual mode with temperature turned all the way down and blower set to high so it should always be cooling. The lowest temperature I got from vents was 45 when it was 65 outside. If it's 80 degrees outside it won't go below 65 before it stop Cooling and tempature begins to rise. One thing to note is the right center vent always blows 10 degrees colder than the other 3 vents when it try to cool.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Outside tempature
How long has your 2023 Hyundai Elantra had this problem?
A few weeks

Hi, first - is your vehicle still inside factory warranty mileage? See your local dealership for an in-warranty diagnosis and repair if so! If not -- The question I'm asking here is - is there a refrigerant system problem, or a climate control inside the vehicle problem? You could certainly have a compressor that shuts off intermittently due to a cycle switch or high pressure cut off concern. Or, the condenser fans may not be always working properly. However, the climate control temperature blend door actuators may not be turning air flow all the way to the "cold" when desired. Hands on testing of both the refrigerant system and the inside climate control system is needed. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me
