What is your question?
I have an intermittent issue with my 2015 Elantra. Sometimes it is a little slow to start up, hard to start. But it does start. Then when I put it in drive the car accelerates poorly. I can floor the gas peddle but the RPM gauge doesn't move. Car goes very slow. If I stop the car and restart, it runs normally again.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Better after stopping and restarting
How long has your 2015 Hyundai Elantra had this problem?
A few weeks

Hi this is Dusty, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team. I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing with your 2015 Elantra. The symptoms you described could be due to a variety of factors. Here are some potential causes: The hard starts could be the result of a weak battery, a failing alternator may be contributing to this issue as well. The poor or no acceleration could be related as well but seems more likely that it may be a software issue in the powertrain control module given that things clear up after restarting. I'd recommend a firsthand diagnosis if things haven't improved or gotten worse. If you have any questions, give us a call at (877) 913-1554
