oil system exploded while driving ,losing most oil. Has this been a problem

Hello, You did the right thing, and probably saved your engine. Kudos. This is the first I have heard of this issue on the 2015 Elantra, but that only means it has not been reported, not that it does not happen. It is great that the warranty will cover this repair, and likely there is just a burst line from a manufacturing defect.
