What is your question?
Can a broken battery sensor (fixed to the ground terminal/ maybe connects to PCM??) CAUSE a car to CRANK but don't start....tried tapping on gas tank/ tried to spray starter fluid into cold air intake......only code popped up was for the battery sensor position?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Nothing I could find
How long has your 2013 Hyundai Elantra had this problem?
As of me writing this....it started today1

When you have a situation where there is a no start concern, diagnostic trouble codes don't give much help. Diagnostic trouble codes are best referred to with a running engine - because it takes a running engine most of the time to check the various systems for any concerns. That said, when you have a no-fault you should repair it before trying to attack something you don't know. You say you are tapping on the fuel tank and using starter fluid, have you even performed a fuel pressure test to see if fuel delivery is an issue? Anti-theft functions with your key, ignition spark, fuel delivery, air intake, emissions controls -- these are all systems that must be checked into to find out what's going on.
