can i swap a 5 speed for a auto tranny in a brand new 2012 elantra?

I just bought this great car only to find that my wife cannot drive the car. she is short and she cannot push in the clutch all the way when trying to shift. she will not move the seat closer because she heard that she can be killed by the airbag if she is too close to it if it deploys. She tried to drive the car a few times and due to clutch she stalls out, recently in a busy intersection, almost causing an accident. I asked my dealer if we can swap the 5 speed for auto trans. they haven't given me a definite answer and i hope they aren't just blowing me off hoping I change my mind. I cannot change my mind as this is a definite safety issue. if the dealer says no what recourse do i have? please reply to my email thanks
