EPS light comes on and steering jammed with squelling noise

Thanks for your reply. They advised us to replace the whole steering column with which steering eps motor is attached. But can i go only for replacing the steering eps motor unit.

I don't have a Hyundai parts catalog in front of me, but it's quite possible that the motor is only serviced the way they say it is.
