My Daughter bought a 2004 Hyundai Elantra standard shift. The dealership told her that a new clutch was installed. However after purchasing the car she drove less than 50 alms and the clutch failed. Is this a normal occurrence?

Hello, If your daughter has any experience driving a manual transmission vehicle, a new clutch should not go out in a matter of 50 kilometers. You can prove this by having a certified technician remove the inspection cover for the clutch. If a new clutch were to wear out in a matter of 50 kilometers, there would be a truly insane about of debris sitting inside the bell housing, lots of hairlike particles, and lots of dust. However, if the failure is the slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder, or a leak, that would be luck of the draw.
