I would try another scan tool to see what codes are stored. If the Check Engine Light is on codes must be present. Perhaps there are poor connections or no power at the OBD connector. Hyundai as a car manufacturer put a lot of free technical information and workshop manuals on line for Hyundai owners. Check out www.hmaservice.com lots of great information.
