If I push in the OD button, the transmission just slips & the car won't move ! I know there's a solenoid that operates this, but where IS it & how expensive is it ? Thanks !

Think of it this way: a solenoid electronically operates. You are hitting the button and there you are experiencing a difference in operation. What makes you think that your concern is a solenoid? Even though it's a hopeful guess, reality is that you likely have a mechanical issue internal to the transmission that requires a proper diagnosis.
