Is there a diff. between reg oil & hi milage oil other than viscosity?

What is your question?

The shop I go to says I need hi milage oil as apposed to the usual oil I get with a change... For which they charge an extra $10... Isn't simply using say 40w as opposed to 30w the same thing? greg
