How do you know if shock absorber needs replacement?
Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Reasons to replace a shock absorber: 1) Inspect it physically - is it leaking? If so, it should be replaced. 2) Check tire wear. Are there high and low spots on your tires -- "cupping"? If yes, your shock absorbers could use replacing. 3) How many miles on your vehicle? If you're above say - 75,000 miles - it can't hurt to replace them. 4) Do you notice handling concerns, excessive bouncing of the vehicle? Then replacing your shock absorbers could be helpful. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link to find some shops near you who can help out!
