we have 2 2008 Accents. with the third brake light

I've heard about a switcth under the brake pedal, i've checked all the fuses, bulbs. is there a diagram of the brakelight switch. maybe i can remove and replace myself. it strikes me odd that both went out around the same time. any info you can provide will be most appreciated..respectfully Jeffery
